Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-08 · In effect 8 October 2026

What this app is

word for it lets you record how you are feeling and look back at it over time. By creating an account you agree to these terms. How your data is handled is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.

It is not medical care

This is the most important thing here. The app is a record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or therapist. Nothing it shows you is a clinical assessment. If you are in crisis, contact a helpline or emergency services — Settings → Find someone to talk to has a directory.

Your account

  • You need to be 16 or older.
  • Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account per person.
  • You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings.

Your content stays yours

Everything you write remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and no right to use it, beyond storing and displaying it back to you so the app can work.

Paid features

Some features are part of Pro. About Pro:

  • A free 14-day trial is offered once per account. It needs no card and ends by itself.
  • Pro is sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our reseller and merchant of record, under Paddle's buyer terms. Refunds and cancellations are handled under those terms.
  • The price and what you get are shown before you are charged.
  • Deleting your account ends any subscription straight away. Unused time is not refunded automatically.
  • Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time; cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding past ones.
  • Paying is never required to read or export the entries you have already written. Your own data is not held behind a payment.

Availability

This is a small, independently run app. It is offered as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted service. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose — Settings → Privacy & Security → Export my data gives you one.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you have paid in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited, and nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Ending things

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. An account may be closed if it is used to break these terms or the law. If the app is ever shut down, reasonable notice will be given so you can export your data first.

Changes and contact

These terms may change; the version and date at the top say which applies. Questions go to support@wordforit.app.
